58' It's Senegal's first real chance to move the ball upfield since scoring the second goal and Sarr makes a good run down the right. He squares it towards Dia at the near post, but Khoukhi slides in to take it off him.

56' It's Afif that curls the free-kick into the box and there's a bit of a scramble to get on the end of it. It hits Diallo and bounces to Hassan, but Ali gets in his way, and his poked shot hits Koulibaly.
54' It's better from Qatar here as Al Haydos sweeps it out to Mohammad on the right. Once again, he takes a hit from Jakobs, and he wins a free-kick in a good position.

Yellow Card
Senegal
52' Jakobs turns to block Mohammad's run and catches him with a flailing elbow to the face. He's protesting his innocence, but he's booked for it.
50' Qatar are enjoying a spell of possession here, but they don't seem to have any ideas on how to get through Senegal. They do win a free-kick down the left which Afif swings in, but Hassan can't get on the end of it.
F. Diédhiou
Goal
Senegal
48' DIEDHIOU SCORES! Senegal win a corner and it's a good delivery from Jakobs. Diedhiou makes the run to the near post on the edge of the six-yard box, and he stoops before flicking his header over Barsham and into the far top corner. 2-0 Senegal!

Assist
Senegal
48' The set-piece deliveries for Senegal in the first half weren't great by Senegal, but Jakobs gets it right this time as he whips it into Diedhiou.
46' Qatar get us back underway for the second half!
Cisse will be pleased with his side's performance so far and will be looking for them to secure the win with a quick start in the second half. Qatar are still looking for their first shot on target in the World Cup, and they'll know they need to improve in the final third if they want to avoid possibly being knocked out of the tournament.
Dia's goal gives Senegal a 1-0 lead over Qatar at half-time. Senegal have been on top since the first whistle but couldn't find a way through until the 41st minute. Khoukhi lost his footing as he tried to clear the ball and Dia made him pay for it by coolly rolling the ball past Barsham. Gueye came close and Diatta saw a shot pushed away as well, while Qatar haven't tested Edouard Mendy at the other end.
45' + 8' HALF-TIME: QATAR 0-1 SENEGAL
45' + 6' Dia has scored Senegal's first World Cup goal since netting against Japan in 2018. It was their 32nd shot in the competition since then.
45' + 4' Boudiaf drags the ball away from Gueye before playing a lovely switch out to Madibo on the left. He cuts inside and there's a bit of a mix-up between Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy as Qatar win a corner, but it comes to nothing.
Homam Ahmed
Yellow Card
Qatar
45' + 2' Ahmed steps across Sabaly to stop him from playing it upfield and catches the right-back. He's shown a yellow card.
45' Miguel crashed into Mohammad, who was jumping to bring the ball down, and he's hurt himself. He stays down holding his midriff, but he's okay to carry on after treatment.
43' Qatar just can't get a touch on the ball at the moment as Senegal push to get a second before half-time. Jakobs goes for the big switch this time, looking for Gueye down the right, but he gets too much on it.
B. Dia
Goal
Senegal
41' DIA SCORES! And it's a moment to forget for Khoukhi! Diatta swings a cross in from the left and Khoukhi loses his footing as he tries to clear his lines. The ball bounces up off his hip and drops kindly for Dia, who rolls it past Barsham to put Senegal 1-0 up!
40' Still, Senegal dominate possession, but they're struggling to find a way through Qatar. The hosts are closing them down quicker now and looking to put them under pressure.
38' Barsham tries to be clever on the ball outside his box but gets it wrong and gifts the ball to Sarr. He looks for Nampalys Mendy on the edge of the box, but Khoukhi makes up for the error by hooking it away.
36' Senegal break quickly this time, and it goes through Diatta down the left again. He squares it into the middle looking for Dia, but Diedhiou's touch takes it past him and Hassan puts his foot through it.
34' It's a promising move from Qatar this time, as Afif is played in on the edge of the box. He's looking to open an angle for a shot when he's clumsily taken down by Sarr, and the hosts are asking for a penalty that isn't given.
32' Ahmed is still down receiving treatment after that challenge from Dia. The forward accidentally landed on his hand, and he's being strapped up, but he'll be able to continue.
B. Dia
Yellow Card
Senegal
30' Dia clips Ahmed's heels with a late challenge and goes into the referee's book for it.
29' Edouard Mendy goes long with his clearance and Sarr beats Barsham to it on the edge of the box. A heavy first touch gets away from him, though, and allows Miguel to nod it back to his keeper.
28' CLOSE! It's a poor clearing header from Khoukhi and Sarr is able to clip it into the far post with his second attempt. Sabaly puts the pressure on Barsham, who fumbles it before the right-back fires it past the post, but the flag goes up against him.
26' Barsham goes long to pick out Hassan, who drives through the middle. He's a long way out when he takes the shot and it's always rising. It did take a slight deflection off Diallo on the way through, but a goal-kick is given.
24' WIDE! It's good build-up from Senegal and Dia cushions it down for Gueye on the edge of the D. He keeps the shot low, fizzing it across goal and it nicks the outside of the post on its way past.
22' Ali misjudges the bounce and handballs it, giving Senegal a free-kick on the right. Jakobs swings the cross into the box, but Khoukhi goes down off the ball and wins the foul.
Ismaeel Mohammad
Yellow Card
Qatar
20' It's a poor challenge from Mohammad as he slides in on Nampalys Mendy from behind. He gets the ball but takes out the player, and it earns him the first booking of the game.
19' There was a clash of heads during that corner, with Diallo and Miguel staying down and in need of treatment. They're both quickly back to their feet, though, and will be able to carry on.
17' The corner comes into the box for Senegal and Barsham rushes off his line but gets nowhere near the cross. It comes off Diedhiou's head in the middle, but he glances his header wide of the far post.
16' SAVE! Senegal move it quickly upfield, looking to Diatta down the left once more. He gets a yard on Mohammad as he cuts inside and fires a shot towards the near post, but Barsham pushes it wide.
15' Qatar win a free-kick on the left and Al Haydos rolls it to Afif so he can float it into the far post. It's too high for Ali, though the hosts keep it alive before it falls to Afif on the edge of the box. He gets caught under the volley and fires it high over the bar.
14' Senegal have lost their last two World Cup matches, having lost just one of their previous seven in the competition (won three, drawn three). Those three defeats are the only three games in which they've failed to score at the tournament.
12' Qatar just can't get out of their own half at the moment as another attempted counter-attack comes to an early end. They work it through Diatta down the left again, but he can't find a way into the box.
10' CHANCE! Sabaly makes a good run down the right before pulling it back to Dia in the middle. He spins away from Khoukhi, but it rolls to Nampalys Mendy. He hits the shot first time, but fires it wide of the far post.
8' Qatar win it back deep in their own half and Afif has the chance to break down the left. He surges forward before trying to feed it into Boudiaf, but Jakobs steps in with an important block.
6' Qatar are happy to sit back in their own half at the moment as they allow Senegal to keep possession in front of them. Koulibaly eventually decides to go long, but can't pick out Diatta.
4' Sarr has switched out to the right, and he makes a weaving run past Ahmed as he cuts inside, before turning past Madibo as well. He tries his luck from a tight angle at the near post but hits the side netting.
2' It's Senegal with all of the possession in the opening minutes here and they're patiently working it upfield. Sarr goes for the big switch out to Diatta on the right, but Hassan sees it out of play.
1' Afif gets the game underway for Qatar!
The teams are out on the pitch, the national anthems have been sung, and kick-off is just moments away!
After losing their opening match against Ecuador, Qatar could become only the fifth host country to lose back-to-back matches at the World Cup after Spain (1982), USA (1994), Korea Republic (2002) and Brazil (2014).
Aliou Cisse makes just two changes to the side that started against Netherlands on Monday, bringing in Jakobs and Diedhiou. Diallo is also fit enough to start after going off in that game with muscle cramps. Pape Cisse starts on the bench, while Cheikhou Kouyate is out with a muscle problem.
Felix Sanchez makes three changes from the game against Ecuador last time out. Barsham starts in goal, with Mohammad and Madibo also coming in. Al Sheeb and Hatem drop to the bench, while Bassam Al Rawi isn't in the squad.

Both teams are already playing catch-up after losing their opening group games, and need a win today to keep themselves in contention for a knockout place. Qatar became the first host nation to lose their opening game at a World Cup after their 2-0 defeat to Ecuador on Sunday, and didn't manage a single shot on target in that match. Senegal were also on the receiving end of a 2-0 loss against Netherlands on Monday after conceding two late goals.
