Portugal Federation has made contact with Roma coach Jose Mourinho.

Portugal coach Fernando Santos remains in charge, despite their World Cup exit this week.

However, Il Corriere dello Sport says they have launched plans to replace Santos and have already made an approach to Mourinho.

The move would involve a job-share, where Mourinho would remain in charge of Roma while taking the national team.
