The 29-year-old Atlas Lion came on as a substitute against Nottingham Forest but fans now want him to start against the champions on Thursday

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been called upon to start Hakim Ziyech ahead of Raheem Sterling after their 1-1 Premier League draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

After the Blues took the lead courtesy of Sterling, the Tricky Trees levelled matters when Serge Aurier capitalised on a defensive mix-up to grab a vital point at the City Ground.

Despite his superb display at the World Cup finals in Qatar where he guided Morocco to the semi-finals, the 29-year-old Ziyech was handed a bench role by Potter before he came on in the 72nd minute for Jorginho.

His introduction saw him create chances that Chelsea failed to utilise and fans have now taken to social media to call for his start ahead of Sterling when Chelsea come up against Manchester City in their next league assignment at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
