Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been called upon to start Hakim Ziyech ahead of Raheem Sterling after their 1-1 Premier League draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
After the Blues took the lead courtesy of Sterling, the Tricky Trees levelled matters when Serge Aurier capitalised on a defensive mix-up to grab a vital point at the City Ground.
Despite his superb display at the World Cup finals in Qatar where he guided Morocco to the semi-finals, the 29-year-old Ziyech was handed a bench role by Potter before he came on in the 72nd minute for Jorginho.
Why didn't Graham Potter start Hakim Ziyech, it really pains? 🤔 - @marcus_oriobosa
Here wondering why Potter keeps putting Ziyech on the bench. - @CFCWiz
Why is Potter not starting Ziyech? Don't know what he needs to do to start, just wasting his talent and playmaking 😕 - @satyam7sharma7
What is Ziyech doing on the bench? Potter isn’t thinking. - @Davin71730130
World Cup semi-finalists Kova and Ziyech being on the bench is criminal from Potter. - @MersimRizmani
Tell me why Potter didn't start Ziyech?🙄🙄 - @_Copah_Jay
Someone save Ziyech from the bench the guy is too talented... - @babysalma122
But how do you bench Ziyech? The kid is too good, he fought up to the World Cup semi-finals, Potter is not good enough🚮 - @emmanuel_ayello
Am sick of why @ChelseaFC keeps on benching Hakim Ziyech, only to concede a late goal and share the spoils! Potter has to wake up quickly or Chelsea will be relegated! - @ibrahim_006KE
So I have to watch Potter’s Chelsea again and see him benching Ziyech every other game???? When is the pain going to end 😠- @mingipaws
Potter will watch Ziyech create chances for fun but will still start Mount and Sterling over him. - @SuyashCFC
