Super Falcons Misplace Second Match - Legit Sports
Super Falcons went down by a lone goal to Colombia Saturday night in the on going Revelations Cup in Mexico.
A 9th minute goal was all that Colombia needed to stamp their feet in the match and held on to the lead to the of the encounter.
Although Falcons from match titbits and recorded by team’s social media handle fired from all angles after the goal with intent to remedy the situation, it did not come to pass and near goal situations were registered.
It will be the second defeat for the Randy Waldrum tutored side in the 4-Nations tournament having lost the first match to by same margin to Mexico in the opener.
Super Falcons are yet to record a win since defeating Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the Quarterfinals of the Women Nations Cup Last year in Morocco. Falcons will next face Costa Rica who interestingly held Colombia to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
The tournament is part of the build up to the FIFA women world cup in New Zealand and Australia later this year.
