Osimhen, Lookman Fire Blank As Napoli Humble Atalanta - Legit Sports
Neither Victor Osimhen nor Ademola Lookman was on target as Napoli claimed three points against Atalanta in the Seria A at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona Saturday night.
While Osimhen was in action for entire duration of the match shy of five minutes compatriot Lookman saw barely two minutes action after stepping in as late substitute for Italian teammate Rafael Tolói in the 89th minute.
It was Napoli that ran away with a 2-0 thanks to the duo of Amir Kadri Rrahmani and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who found the net in the 77th and 60th minute respectively. Osimhen saw yellow in the 18th minute just as two Atalanta players were equally yellow carded in the course of the encounter.
Though Osimhen failed to score he nonetheless takes credit for providing assist for Napoli’s opener. He got a 6-5 rating over ten rating for his performance.
Prior to the match both players had posted impressive scoring records and were banking on consolidating.
They will now look forward to the next fixture that will see Napoli face Torino but not before settling scores against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions league on Wednesday. Atalanta on the other hand will next host Empoli.
