Plateau United have announced the departure of their Assistant coach Abdulazeez Hamza Abara.

The coach according to the club has decided to pitch tenth with Elkanemi Warriors where is expected to take up the vacant Technical Adviser role of the Maiduguri based side. Interestingly Abara was with plateau United when they hammered Elkanemi Warriors 5-0 last month in one of the NPFL fixtures.

It will definitely not be tea party for Abara as he attempts to get the Maiduguri side out of the relegation zone.

The Warriors are currently at the bottom of the log in Group A with only five points from nine matches.

Abara may begin his assignment with away game against Kwara United on March 26th.

In the last meeting between the two clubs in what could be dubbed battle of the warriors, Kwara United (Afonja Warriors) ran away with 2-1 victory at the Maiduguri Stadium.

The Ilorin side will  no doubt  be hoping to earn another win over Elkanemi with their supporters sure to play the role of 12th player at the Akure Township Stadium venue of the forthcoming encounter.
